Ryan’s is the face most customers recognize. He’s usually the one who’s introduced them to LeanTec and helped them understand how it’ll benefit their organization. Helping is what Ryan likes to do—both professionally & in his personal life. And he’s not afraid of challenges. Whether it’s helping disadvantaged kids on the weekends or helping customers solve their shop challenges during the week, Ryan cares—and he’s not afraid to do what it takes to solve the problem. With 15 years of sales leadership experience (11 of them in Automotive Aftermarket), he’s up to the task.

We caught up with Ryan at his home in Indianapolis—which can sometimes be a challenge of its own, as he’s usually on the go visiting our clients all over the US & Canada.

  1. 1. What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
I oversee all the sales activities & brand awareness for LeanTec.  And I participate in new product development ideas and the onboarding of new customers.

2. What drew you to LeanTec?
I started before the launch of LeanTec, and I fell in love with the concept of helping shops in an innovative way.  I was intrigued by an IoT company entering the Collision Repair Industry and making positive impacts quickly.

3. What do you like most about your job?
I’ve always enjoyed working with people in Collision.  My favorite thing is meeting new people and working with them to customize a solution that best fits their inventory management needs.

4. Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Fitness, Nutrition, Winter Sports, Church Activities and hanging out with my family.

5. Tell us about your family.
I have 3 children.  2 boys (Grady, 10 and Broden, 9) and 1 girl (Nyla, 5).  Grady loves all sports– but concentrates on soccer.

Broden is my outdoors-man. He loves helping his grandpa on the cattle farm and can’t wait to start hunting.

Nyla is a social butterfly. She’s involved in so many activities –and the more friends involved, the better. I notice lately that she’s been working on her handstands– so I’m taking that as a sign I need to sign her up for gymnastics.

6. People would be surprised if they knew:
I enjoy working with Youth and those at risk.  A couple of the organizations I volunteer at are Circle City Relief and Brookside Church Youth Outreach.

7. What’s on your bucket list?
I’d like to facilitate a local after school hands-on Youth Learning Center focused on Nutrition, Fitness, exposing the youth to various trades, and teaching them how to grow fruits & vegetables in an urban environment.
